"I started photography back in 2016 in my final year of polytechnic. I was inspired after seeing a few of my friends starting shooting cityscapes around Singapore and posting their photos on Instagram.
The photography scene among my generation was fairly new back then. I saved up and got my first DSLR, a Nikon D3300 with a wide angle lens. I learnt everything about photography from how to shoot in manual to how to edit RAW files online. I would go out and roam the city with just my camera and a tripod a few times a week. I then set up my Instagram account from scratch where I posted my photos and met like minded individuals whom I am now close friends with. I would say 2018 was when I developed my personal style. I was jaded from seeing the same edits from the same angles and I decided to do composites with my photos for a different aesthetic. A big inspiration for me is Stephan Wilkes who captures the transition from day to night in a single photo. The timeslices that I'm very fond of doing now are a twist on that.
Now I'm taking a degree in communication design at the Glasgow school of Art and I shoot whenever I'm free. I'm currently using a Sony A7RII with a wide angle lens and I've been using for a year now."
